Well, you seldom talk politics here but I cautiously weighed my options before venturing into a discussion by waiting a couple of days.

So the folks at the RNC are "Homer Simpsons?" Meaning they are dumb sheep-like creatures easily swayed by donuts and beer that give lip service to the teachings of their self-professed faith?

What did you think of Gov. Palin? Did she reach Condi-like heights of being a good looking Republican woman who likes guns, beer and killing wildlife?

And what did you think of Sen. McCain who seems to have made this choice of VP only after he realized he couldn't energize the Christian Right of the party with a Jewish senator from Conn. who supports a woman's right to chose?

Just wondering...

No no no. People who chant "USA! USA!" make me think of Homer Simpson. Because he chants "USA! USA!"

"What did you think of Gov. Palin? Did she reach Condi-like heights of being a good looking Republican woman who likes guns, beer and killing wildlife?"

Actually you just named 3 things I do NOT like about Sarah Palin, but one of them may not really be a Palin trait. Is she a beer swiller? If she is, I haven't heard about it. I'm not a big fan of beer, but enjoy one occasionally. I'm definitely not a "beer guy".

Other than that, I like Palin okay.

You clearly have very wrong assumptions of WHY I am going to marry Condi someday.

Not a big fan of McCain, but I don't know how accurate your chain of events that led up to the Palin Pick really is. I could play the same game, read a lot into your comments here, assume I know what motivates them, parse them, tell people what you "really" mean... but instead I'll just say "GOOD FOR YOU!" and recognize that you did say "seems" and respect your right to see things as they seem to you.

You should comment more! Don't be shy!

Is that the gay GI Joe or the bisexual one?

That's just a bedroll on his back, h-man. He's not happy to see you.

Why is the word "School" misspelled?
As extra "irony"?

Who did that?

And I'm firmly with you about the Homer Simpson. I can't hear the chant of USA! USA! without thinking of him, either. As a matter of fact, I use it quite frequently when I'm victorious in any fashion.

Hey there Dobbs! Love to Mary and the Mayonnaise collection!

Don't change the spelling! I thought that was part of the joke!

Off topic...

I wanted to edit a post on my blog, but I was afraid that it might delete the comment someone left.

Then I started wondering... if you edit after people post comments, you could make it look like they're commenting on something else entirely!

That seems pretty funny. Or maybe I'm just tired.

You may be tired, but that is funny.

Hey to Ben!

wayno - I tried to go in and edit your comment, but can't find any way to do it. All I can do is trash it. I guess commenters are protected from wiseguy bloggers like us.

I was going to make you say you miss the glory days of Wilson Phillips.

I will not bow to that woman. Ever. If Julia Roberts played Ilsa, she'd be Sarah Palin.

But your G.I. Joe thingie is still fucking hilarious.
