travel! art! politics!

TRAVEL!
I'll take a break from the signage tour to show you this statue that looks like it's smoking a stogie.

ART!
I'm drawing again. I didn't draw in Prague (except the pictures of a man on crutches and a man with a cane), and all I could do last week was go to the day job and go home and pass out (except for some very small Nickelodeon work). Now I'm working on the new Buddy McNutty comic, and hopefully about to start on a ton of character cards for an electronic board game. So I don't know when I'll get to finish BLOGOPERA or start on THE ELDERS STAMP ALBUM, but I'll try to keep this blog interesting. I always wanted to write a long story. Maybe I'll serialize it here. I'm not sure what I'll do, but as God is my witness, I will show you the kabinky thing tomorrow!

Speaking of art, here's a great animation by Alan Becker. Thanks Mr Ed for the link!

Here's something funny. Thanks Lemos for the link!

POLITICS!
This is what disturbs me about the current level and tone of dissent in America. Go to Cousin Eric's site and read "BUSHFLASH ON IRANIAN TELEVISION?"

Mark...Yay! The return of the hate speech debate! Mark why are lumping all of the dissent into the level established by your cousin's blog?

You and I have run around in circles on this one and for the life of me I don't know why I'm responding to your post because I know it's futile.

People are angry, Mark. People have seen an unncessary war cost the lives of thousands as well as throw this nation into a financial tailspin. People have been hearing conservatives call them names such as "traitor" for years if they dare dissent.

There's a lot of pent up emotion that is now being released. I don't agree with your cousin on Iran, but I also don't think we should be attacking them either when we have done precious little in securing our country from the people who leveled the World Trade Center.

Coming ot Bissette's this weekend? I'm bringing a big fat cigar and we sit outside and call each other names.

Oh for fuck's sake. I don't know why you're responding either? Who said I lump ALL dissent in with the level of Cousin Eric's?

And don't think I don't know what that last sentence is all about. Good lord, get over it! How much love must I bleed???

typo!

I meant to say "I don't know why you're responding either!"

The animation was brilliant. The religious toys were quite funny. I'm sick of politics (but I still hate Libertarians and the moron in the White House).

That, my friend, is a "lump everything in" statement.

I dissent from dissenting. Now make yourself decent and dissent.
