news! views! whews!

Mark Landman just self-published 50 "ltd ed" copies of Megalon vs Dick Cheney! LUCKY ME - I got one! Will YOU get one? I don't know. Wish real hard!!!

Wayno is actively blogging. Git it while you can!

mm.net has finally been updated. Not much new there, but at least the old outdated crap is gone.

A new Slam Bang has an interview with me and an aborted Runaway Comics story in it.

ATTN EETEED!!! We got the input at last, and Buddy McNutty #2 is back on the front burner!

That is freakin' fantastic! Megalon was up there with the Smog Monster. Both cheesie as heck, but boy were they fun.

That reminds me of a sketchbook comic I drew a couple years ago:

OK, Mark -- HOW can I get a copy? I love Megalon, I hate Cheney -- and I'm a diehard collector of Japanese monster movie curios. P-uh-leez!

"Megalon vs Dick Cheney!...edition of 50? why such a small run?"

I hate to admit it, but after showing this to a variety of publishers, absolutely no one had any interest.

But, I liked this one a lot (amazingly, even my wife agreed it was good!), so I decided to make a small promotional run to send to a few friends and publishers and such. it's advertisment for me, hopefully a little amusement for my friends, and deductible!

I have now officially entered the vanity publishing stage of my "career". Next year at this time I expect I will be tackling homeless people on the street, sitting on them and reading aloud sections from my latest "Dr. McGillicudy, Mutating Brain Surgeon" comic strip... I shudder to think what I'll be doing the year after that...

Hi Steve- It's tough, many are called, but few are chosen, etc.

But drop me a note at-

-with your address, and fortune could smile on you!

The same applies to any other friends of Mr. Martins out there who might be interested. Especially if you happen to be big Hollywood moguls or publishing giants...
