crappy ads

If you use yahoo mail, you see these crappy paymybills.com ads all the time. Each one is crappier than the other one, even if (I mean WHEN) you see it again and again, it somehow looks crappier each time. Like the one where the bird is inexplicably eating human feet. I saw that one several times before I realized those human feet are actually awkwardly rendered worms. You notice new levels of crappiness, if you notice them at all. Maybe you are lucky, maybe you are one of the fortunate ones who can tune out horrible music in a store, or tune out paymybills.com internet ads. But if you are like me, you are mesmerized and agitated by the train-wreck.

This one I like though. Because the ugly gnome looks just like Whoopi Goldberg. I don't know if that is intentional, but I am going with the theory that it is unintentional. I like it better that way.

Wow, I totally see that now. And yes, what the Heck Ramsey are those ads about? I know there's another one that's just a big ear of corn with the state initials on all the kernels, and I *kinda* get the idea behind it, but they're just getting more and more abstract lately. Like the footbird, or the Goldberg goblin. Runaway Comics should have a parody of those type of ads.

PS - Shawn - I'm still gonna do "that thing" on mm.net. It has been very hectic here. I'll get there, honest...

OH! Oh, yeah, the thing. Oh, god, don't even worry about it. We've all been too busy. I haven't even thought about it lately, with the busyness.

Mark, what I hate most (working as I do on these outdated old iMacs) are the banner ads for mortgages (ya, like I'm going to put my homeowner status in their hands) plastered across the top of my email -- when they appear, I know I will only have to hit the 'refresh' button, since they fucking ALWAYS prevent the email proper from appearing and being accessible. Thus, I hate them all the more, EVERY FUCKING TIME!
