A "walks into a bar" joke has to at least two lines of dialog, one of which must be said by the bartender.

Snap, Crackle and Pop walk into a bar. "Give us a bowl of milk," they say. The bartender says, "We don't have milk, how about beer?" A customer yells "Bartender, fix the radio!"

Snap, Crackle and Pop were edgy in their day, but what have they done in the past 20 years? Nothing but make a little noise.

a man walks into a bar pulling a chain behind him.

the bartender yells, "hey, what are you doing pulling that chain in here?"

the man replies, "you ever try PUSHING one of these things?"

THIS IS FROM BENNY!
stupid blogger is still bollocksing.
Benny's joke:

A man walks into a bar.
The second man ducks.

Gotta disagree with the "walks-into-a-bar-2-lines-of-dialog" rule. My all-time favorite (completely geeky) "walks-into-a-bar" joke involves ONE line of dialog and a hand gesture. Doesn't work so well in print, and doesn't work at all if you're not familiar with binary, but here 'tis:

A programmer walks into a bar and says [holding up two fingers], "Three beers please."

WHY AREN'T YOU LAUGHING!?!?

No, sorry. Benny's joke doesn't work, 'cause it breaks the rules. A "walks-into-a-bar" joke has to have at least one line of dialog!

Benny's joke trumps them all. It's funny because it breaks all the rules. So there, Mr. Jokes-Have-To-Have-Rules Man. HMPF!

A man walks into a bar and breaks all the rules. Nobody says anything.

A man walks into a blog and tries to leave a comment, but nothing happens.
