Why is Ocnus' hair green?
The only Henbane with plant DNA is Leif.
Ocnus is a human, albeit a magic human.
I also think Leif should still be brown.

Your color job looks great.
But when I hold them up side by side, there are aspects of ee's coloring that work better for me. And I still like the red!

I did, however, love your use of green and purple. Complementary colors are always the BEST, Pumpie! the BEST!

Clearly I did not re-read before coloring, and do not have total recall.

I still like the red too. But I didn't want to be a copycat.

Oh, and the brown - since this is set in a richly paneled study that I think should be brown, I Leif to "pop". So no brown on brown.

that is, I WANTED Leif to pop...

You're clearly typing too fast for your brain.

I spelled Lief's name wrong.

We just gotta getta grip.

Looks nice.

And despite the fact that you angered Jed by telling him that opinions were like a-holes (or was it belly buttons?), and for eeteed not to follow his coloring advice... it seems that you used similar technique by keeping your color palette simple and consistent. Which, in my a-hole/belly button opinion, is also the best way to go.

Also, your Escape cover looks fantastic.

That page is drawn nicely, but enough dawdling. I'm still waiting for a calorie diary for each of these characters from you eeTeeD. They look suspiciously thin, perhaps bulemic? And what's is their daily intake of Vitamin D? Poor nutrition can lead to yellow or lavender skin.

ah, fantastic!
i really appreciate you going to the trouble to do this. seeing someone else’s interpretation of my work really gives me new insights and helps open up new ideas.
you very obviously have very bold ideas about color. i’ll be studying this throughout the year (coloring the “cover” is the very last thing i do).
again, my thanks to you.

I think Leif would still be green, not brown, as he's somewhat young and sproutlike. IMHBB, anyway.

Awesome! And this means pretty much bubkis after the fact, but I would've gone with the purple and green thing too! (Or so he says)

to benny- reading your comments i see that you actually read and retained the comic. you have no idea how much that means to me. my eternal thanks to you.

to mark- i was looked at our color jobs side by side and i noticed that you used a "cool" color scheme (blue/purple/green) and that i used a primary color scheme (red/yellow/blue). interesting! must study this more! thanks again.

to pin h- a calorie diary (of sorts) comes towards the end of the story, and a certain some one gets most of the calories!

You're right.
Lief does need to "pop".
And I also see that he's a pale green now. He looked yellow this morning.
Next time, maybe I should check the "blog" AFTER I pee.

Personally, I like eeTeeD's version better. This one gives the effect of being two-dimensional, whereas eeTeeD's version looks much more three-dimensional. This one is just kind of bland, eeTeeD's version is much more eyecatching and ultimately liable to be picked up and looked at (even if it is HORRORS! an indie comic!) And why would you not follow the color guide of the original artist when it comes to the characters? I like the little bit of shadow that you use but I'm confused as to where that strong light is coming from. Oh, and that is one spiffy looking doorknob! eeTeeD, take a lesson there!
