rocketboy!
I think I said something about Rocketboy on my blog or my website about a year ago, when it was scheduled to run in Nick Mag. Then the 3-D section got postponed and it did not run.
But guess what! That's right, it's in the next issue! This image was scanned from actual tearsheets hot off the press. And the 3-D on these comics is REALLY good! Ray Zone did a great job. As always, but even better! Maybe I'm prejudiced because Rocketboy was created by Sculptor Rick, and this comic was written and illustrated by him and me.
I usually urge you to at least pick up Nick Mag on the news stand and look at the comics, even if you did not get your alllowance that week. But you really need to buy this issue, so you can tear out the 3-D specs and go blind reading 3-D comics!

OK, new subject. Equally interesting, but NOT as much fun, so just move along if you don't want to read about Christianity and Gays and The Right To Choose and stuff like that. I just think this is a pretty interesting chat you may want to weigh in on over at Mikey's.
Read the last chunk of this post, plus the comments.
Then read this post, plus the comments.
I won't comment further here. Just some food for thought.

'sbout time!
"Oh, boy! ROCKET BOY! In 3-D!" Said the guy with one eye.
I didn't want to read the christianity stuff, but I did out of a sense of diplomacy. I always find religion bizarre and unsettling and (rarely) amusing. People seem to make of christianity what they want it to be, and thus it has no real substance.
(I did not know that Hobbs was such a wildly talented fellow. So that was a bit of an education.)
I can't find the Nick comics special anywhere up here -- not in Border's, not in Mom & Pop newsstands, not in pharmacies or Dartmouth College bookshops, not anywhere. Damn!
I think Nick says the magazine goes on sale 2/18. Thanks for looking!
...now you're standing there like you 'smelt' something, but you're entitled to even that opinion.....
I kind of agree with Mark's comment. Just live what you believe and try not to be preachy from either side of the fence.
The other blog wouldn't allow anonymous comments and in order to not be presumptuous by believing that anyone is interested in what I think, I prefer to remain that way - anonymous. Sometimes I do just want to throw my two cents in. But, in doing so, I'm also being preachy. Every time you open your mouth, you're screwed!
Alright, now you did it. You made me tear up the house looking for a pair of 3D glasses. Well worth the effort though, awesome 3D imaging, and now I MUST get the mag! Rocketboy RULES!
