wattle and daub

Yesterday I saw some (original!) wattle and daub construction from the year 1325. Wattle and daub is a way of plastering a wall with sticks and mud. How the heck do sticks and mud last 700 years and I have to buy a new coffee maker every year?

Back in them days, mud was another name for a combination for spit, shit, piss and jizz. Hardens like concrete. Lasts forever
