back to normal, I hope

After a series of catastrophies, things appear to be settling back into some kind of a groove here. Juggling cars, bathing in the showers at work, having a tiny camera snaked up my butt... it's been a wild ride the last few weeks.

But this weekend I actually worked on Montgomery Wart and a few other projects, and updated markmartin.net with a Big Lot of classic and new material. Go check it out. See if you can find the link to the awesome comic I drew for Ira Gobler way back in the late '60s!

ALSO— is this working??? I'm not sure if it's just my browser or my crappy comcast connection that I pay a small fortune for, thank you very much Comcast, or what... Let me know if you see Mo blow! If it ain't working, I can't understand why it stopped. It used to work!

If things will stop breaking around here, I'll be posting more in the coming weeks.

catching up...

Jed left some interesting comments here. The only flaw in your master plan, Jed, is that Duffy couldn't coax me and Cooper and etc to contribute awesome comics to an anthology that didn't pay any money. Well, he could probably coax me, but I am a sucker for alternative anthologies. Most people are way more realistic about real realities than I am.

eeteed, I was just doodling around trying to think of an idea for some marginals, and one thing led to another, and there was Teeny Weeny. I can't explain it any better than that, but I CAN post some new Teeny strips on mm.net next weekend, and I will!

The blank square on black background appears to be functional.

I give you the one precedent for my master plan:

Spiegelman and Mouley's Misfit Lit!

The key is distribution, distribution, distribution. You guys (hey, I'm not involved in this, it sounds hard) just need to convince some publisher already sucessfully publishing a magazine for another market, to expand into the kids scene. Easy, right?

I dig the new stuff on the site! Would love to see some Mark Martin children's books, so I hope that plan hasn't completely fallen behind the stove, but daily comics, even though you'd probably be good at them, are a mugs game. Especially now. Who reads them anymore? What's worth reading? Besides, they suck the life out of you. after 20 years, you'll be phoning golf jokes in to your assistant while you're off getting your Ruben award as presented by by Dik Browne, or his son or something. Whoever draws those crappy things now.
