What the hell, I finished it. Let's pretend it's Monday already.

Amazing! You're channeling Alejandro Jodorowky, Mark! (See TABOO 4 for a quote from Alejandro's 1971 interview, in which he fantasized about Mr. Fantastic's sex life with Invisible Girl Sue Storm!)

Dude, that is like... so awesome... complete with that weird early 70s logo... I'm weeping in my deepest FF Fan heart. and not the way I wept at the drive-ina couple weeks ago when the Silver Teletubby appeared...

I totally remember that interview. He talked about how Mr. Fantastic could ejaculate into the invisible girl's veins, but I wasn't sure what that did for the invisible girl. I do remember the interview pretty vividly, though, principally for that reason. That was such a Jodorowsky sort of thing to say. Jodorowsky is nuts! I highly reccomend The Magic Mountain--my version was unfortunately dubbed, but that is one of the trippiest movies ever!

Jed, that's THE HOLY MOUNTAIN -- and it's now on DVD in the US (just released last month) in a stellar, uncut transfer. If you've got the $$, go for the Alejandro Jodorowsky 'brick' boxed set, which has DVDs of EL TOPO, HOLY MOUNTAIN, FANDO & LIS and his first never-before-released feature LA CRAVATE, plus CDs of the EL TOPO and HOLY MOUNTAIN soundtracks. Amazing, essential!

Yay! Sounds awesome! I've seen all of those movies but La Cravate, and the versions I've seen (aside from Fando and Lis) were questionably dubbed, and most likely cut. From what I understand there's been distribution issues, particularly for El Topo, for years, and I had to get my copy as a dub from a dub from E-Bay.

Oh and I saw Ichi the Killer that you were raving about not too long ago--the violence and tone reminded me of a Japanese Sin City--it was a great big bloody cartoon. I preferred Audition.

This really belongs on your blog, and not here--but I recently checked out some of those Showtime "Masters of Horror" movies, and there were two that I thought were worth their salt--Imprint, also by Takashi Miike, and Jennifer by Argento. The others I saw were pretty mediocre, but those two were exceptional.

That toon is wicked funny and pretty much sums up most of the jokes me and my pals used to make about Mr. Fantastic when we were in the third grade. And the same jokes me and my pals were making about Mr. Fantastic last week.

Have you heard the one about Sue Storm?

Sure, Mr. Fantastic can make his unit do all kinds of stretching tricks. But the Thing is always ROCK HARD.
